JIVE PODCAST: "MAKE MY LOGO BIGGER" WITH SPECIAL GUEST JEFF SIMPSON

On this episode of “Make My Logo Bigger” we speak to our close friend, and well-known and respected Art Director, Jeff Simpson. Jeff chats with JIVE about the power of mistakes, what Art Direction really is, and the undeniable affect the recent pandemic has had on the advertising industry. With a dissection of how to make this work meaningful and powerful (for both the audience and the client) this episode serves as a reminder that creatives shouldn’t fear failure, but instead use it to their advantage.

From his early days of admiring and creating the ground-breaking (and at the time, illegal) art form of graffiti, Jeff knew that breaking the rules was something that could result in real artistic magic. It’s this approach to creating that has helped him dream up some incredibly powerful campaigns throughout his career. This rebel with a cause looks to connect and inspire people honestly, through big ideas and the guts to tackle them.

Throughout our chat, one thing is apparent: Jeff is an incredibly talented Art Director. One who isn’t afraid to lean on other professionals to create the best work possible, and one who can recognize that mistakes give more than they take. It’s a refreshing angle from someone so well respected in this realm, and reminds us of why we started in this field ourselves.
