Make My Logo Bigger With Special Guest Dave Campbell

Join us for this instalment of Make My Logo Bigger as we sit with a true trailblazer in the realm of photography and digital imaging, as well as a mentor and friend to JIVE, Dave Campbell. From his beginnings, capturing medical marvels at Mount Sinai Hospital, to co-founding one of Eastern Canada's leading commercial studios with Robinson/Campbell & Associates LTD, our guest's lens has witnessed the evolution of an industry.

Beyond his time in the studio, he has also dedicated over two decades to shaping young minds at NSCC, including 2 of the JIVE team, by developing the Digital Imaging one year program. This would go on to become the second instalment of the 2 year Professional Photography diploma program, creating a lasting impact.

Sit back and enjoy a relaxed conversation with this visionary behind the lens, revisiting some of the most important shifts and milestones in the photography industry over the past 30 years. It’s a must listen for anyone interested in visual mediums and commercial photography!

A bit more about Dave Campbell:

In 1991, as pioneers in the industry, Robinson & Campbell became one of the first photography studios in Canada to adopt digital capture technology, bringing them to the forefront of creating new standards for visual storytelling. With that, they have been recognized nationally for their work with clients such as Aliant Telecom, Financial Post Magazine, Canada Post, Report on Business Magazine, Irving Oil and Nova Scotia Power Inc. just to name a few. Beyond his time in the studio, he has dedicated over two decades to shaping young minds at NSCC by developing the Digital Imaging one year program. This would go on to become the second instalment of the 2 year Professional Photography diploma program.

In addition to teaching, David continues to consult privately in the areas of photography, digital imagine and new media. His most recent work can be found in the Scenic Highways of Canada and the Millennium stamp series from Canada Post. It’s evident his work captures the essence of our world.

On top of all this, his academic pursuits, including a Master's Degree in Art Education, help to delve into the complex relationship between technology and humanity. We hope you enjoy this episode…
